Three staff members with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections are on administrative leave following the Morgan Geyser escape.
This as the department investigates its response after Geyser cut off her ankle monitoring device and left her group home in Madison last month. State lawmakers have also asked for information about the agency’s response, and are specifically questioning how several hours passed before local police knew she removed the monitor. Geyser was just 12 years old when she and a friend stabbed another girl nearly to death in a bid to appease the fictional “Slender Man” character.
