Bill Set to Fund Local Mental Health Hospital

Governor Tony Evers has signed a bill to provide ten-million dollars in funding to build a new mental health hospital in Chippewa Falls. 

The funding had been earmarked in this year’s budget bill.  The area has not had a local mental health hospital since HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital closed.  Rogers Behavioral Health has already bought the land for the hospital, which will be located at Highway 178 and Wissota Green Boulevard.      CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE WITH WEAU 13 NEWS.
