WI Cigar Bars Snuffed Out

Governor Tony Evers has vetoed a bill that would have allowed new cigar bars in Wisconsin.

The state’s current ban on indoor smoking doesn’t allow for any bars that allow indoor smoking.  Cigar bars that were built before 2009 are exempt.  The bill would have expanded the exemption to include new tobacco bars.  Several public health organizations like the American Cancer Society and American Lung Association urged the Governor to veto the bill.
