The Chippewa County Sheriff ’s Office applied for the Chippewa Valley Dementia Coalition Community Impact Grant. We were informed that our grant was chosen as grant recipient! We have been awarded $2,100 to apply in our pursuit of increasing public safety of those with Dementia.
It is our hope these funds will assist us in researching technology that will assist families with individuals that have a risk of eloping. We also are looking to expand our information database for first responders. This voluntarily submitted information would help first responders identify those at risk and provide us with proactive information that will increase public safety and can save lives.
Our Office is always focused on provided the highest level of public safety we can to the residents and tourists of Chippewa County. This grant will allow us to work with the Dementia Coalition to improve the lives of those with dementia and their families, here in Chippewa County.
