Speeding Leads to OWI

Ta’mesha Ataneen McIntosh, 31 years of age, from Tampa, FL has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16. 

A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation. Upon contact with the driver he detected the odor of intoxicants and observed signs of possible impairment. The Trooper also observed two minor passengers in the vehicle. A roadside investigation was conducted including standard field sobriety tests. The driver was transported to a local hospital where a legal blood draw was performed before being booked into the Eau Claire County Jail. The two minors and one adult passenger were transported from the scene to wait for a responsible party to pick them up. The driver was charged with OWI first offense with minor passengers and speeding.
