Miss America Set to Speak at Commencement

A former Wisconsin-Madison student who won Miss America is returning to the school. 

Officials say Grace Vanderhei will be the 2025 winter commencement speaker next month, just a couple years removed from winning Miss Wisconsin and later Miss America.  Vanderhei earned her degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin the following year.  The school says the Wausau native has represented the state and university with intellect and charm.
