HyVee Hits “Hy” Note With Winning Lottery Ticket

What’s a great way to reopen a store? How about selling a winning multi-million Lotto ticket to a customer. Hy-Vee, on 220 S. 18th Ave. in Wausau, sold a winning $7.1 million Megabucks ticket for the Wednesday, November 19 drawing. Formerly County Market, the store reopened this week as Hy-Vee on Tuesday. The winning numbers were (1-12-19-29-30-45).

“We are brand new to the community,” said Store Director, Jake Dryer. “It’s really exciting to sell a big winner on our third day open as Hy-Vee.”

Big Lotto wins in the city of Wausau have been common in 2025. In April, a Kwik Trip sold a winning $48,000 Badger 5 jackpot ticket and in June, a different Kwik Trip had a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket. In September, Rib Foods, LLC also sold a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket.
