Governor Evers is urging the Trump administration to overturn its denial of disaster aid.
Evers declared a state of emergency in August after severe storms and flooding in several communities caused extensive damage. The request was denied last month and affects Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation grants. The state’s Emergency Management Department has documented more than 27-and-a-half-million-dollars in validated damages. Officials are working to compile additional evidence for an appeal.
