The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation marked its 100th anniversary with a large investment in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s research.
WARF announced an over 206 million dollar commitment for fiscal year 2026, to help research and innovation at the university and the Morgridge Institute. The investment includes annual grants, operational support and the transfer of WARF’s ownership stake in the Discovery Building, giving it to UW-Madison and the Morgridge Institute for Research. The total support package is valued over 206 million dollars with over 75 million of it dedicated to the Discovery Building transfer. The commitment includes 50 million dollars for strategic initiatives and nearly 36 million dollars to support faculty and student researchers.
