WI Applies for Rural Support

The state of Wisconsin applied for $1 billion in federal funding to support the rural parts of the state.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is asking the federal government to give them money that focus on rural capacity, sustainability and innovation. More than 200 partners gave the state feedback over the last three months. $337 million would strengthen rural health care workers, $329 would give rural Wisconsin more technology and $279 million would give rural Wisconsinites better access to health care. The federal government will give their answer by the end of the year.
