The Wisconsin Alumni Association is among those groups and individuals remembering the life of former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Cheney — who served as VP under former President George W. Bush — died Monday at the age of 84. Cheney was a doctoral student in political science at UW-Madison in 1968 when he left school in favor of an eventual congressional fellowship in Washington. The alumni association released a statement yesterday saying that Cheney’s legacy remains part of the university’s broader history of producing influential leaders.
The association adds that he will be remembered for his life of service, values of leadership, and the civic engagement he exemplified.
