An infant was surrendered at a Safe Haven Baby Box in Racine.
The city of Racine and the Racine Fire Department say the baby was safely surrendered at a fire station last week. It’s the first time the baby box was used in Wisconsin. The infant is now in custody of child protective services. There are six Safe Haven Baby Box locations in Wisconsin.
