New WI Law Prohibits AI-Generated Nude Images

It is now illegal in Wisconsin to post a nude image of someone created with artificial intelligence.

Governor Tony Evers signed a bipartisan bill that prohibits posting, publishing, distributing or exhibiting a “synthetic intimate representation of an identifiable person with intent to harass or intimidate them.”   The bill also bans making AI generated images of a person if they did not consent to the making of the image.   The new law went into effect today.
