Congressman Van Orden Calls for Withholding of Funds

Western Wisconsin Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden is calling for federal funds to be withheld from select communities including Eau Claire. 

The move comes in response to social media posts by two Eau Claire City Council members that have been interpreted by some as condoning or supporting the recent killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.  Van Orden is putting forward a bill in Congress that would prohibit federal funding for entities that employ individuals who condone and celebrate political violence and domestic terrorism.
