Menasha Joint School District is opening the first net-zero Maplewood school in Wisconsin.
It’s also the largest zero net energy middle and intermediate school in the nation. A geothermal system will help drive down long-term operational costs. Twenty-seven hundred solar panels will generate renewable energy and its excess can be sold to the city. An open house and dedication was held yesterday for the 100-million dollar referendum building.
