The Secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is stepping down.
Missy Hughes was appointed to lead the state’s economic development organization by Governor Tony Evers in 2019. Since then, the WEDC has worked with multiple companies to commit more than eight-million-dollars of investment in the state, creating or retaining more than 45-thousand jobs in multiple industries. Her resignation will be effective starting September 19th, and the state is looking for a person to fill her position in the next few weeks.
