Health officials in La Crosse and St. Croix Counties are reporting their first human cases this year of West Nile virus.
The La Crosse County Health Department yesterday reported confirmation of one such case and the St. Croix County Public Health Department reported three. Health officials remind folks that the virus is not spread from person to person — but only by being bitten by an infected mosquito.
