WI Leaders React to Deadly Shooting

Western Wisconsin Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden is among those reacting to the deadly shooting of conservative pundit Charlie Kirk.

The MAGA podcaster and founder of Turning Point USA was fatally shot Wednesday during an appearance at a university in Utah. In the hours after Kirk’s shooting, Van Orden took to social media, posting that left-wing political violence must stop now and that whoever does not condemn this is part of the problem.

There is unity in the message across the aisle as Governor Evers posted on X that “Violence against anyone because of their political beliefs is wrong. Violence against others is wrong. Violence is never the answer for resolving our differences or disagreements. Wisconsin joins in praying for Charlie Kirk and the Utah Valley community and first responders.”

Authorities continue to search for Charlie Kirk’s shooter and no motive has been confirmed.
