The victims of the 9-11 terror attacks are being remembered 24 years later. Bill Keegan was a supervisor during the recovery efforts at Ground Zero and is now suffering from several 9-11 related cancers.
The annual remembrance ceremony will take place today in Lower Manhattan at the 9-11 Memorial where family members of victims will read names of the nearly three thousand people killed on September 11th, 2001 and those killed in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. There will be bell tolls and moments of silence. In the afternoon, Port Authority will hold a service at St. Peter’s Church to honor Port Authority employees lost in both attacks. At night, the annual Tribute in Light will illuminate the New York City skyline to show where the Twin Towers once stood.
