MKE Co. Executive Announces Run for Governor

Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley is launching his campaign for Wisconsin Governor.

The Milwaukee native had been considering a run for governor since incumbent Tony Evers announced he wouldn’t be running again in July.  Crowley became the first Black person and youngest to serve as Milwaukee County Executive when he was elected in 2020.  Crowley, Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez, and union worker Ryan Strnad are the first Democrats to enter a bid for Wisconsin governor.  Bill Berrien and Josh Schoemann are the current Republican candidates.
