Dunn County has completed its administrative transition with new County Manager Dan Dunbar appointing Jenalee Nutter as Assistant County Manager.

Nutter said she will continue to serve as the county’s Human Resources Director, assuming a dual leadership role within the organization.
The appointment was made by Dan Dunbar, Dunn County’s newly appointed County Manager, taking over in August from Kris Korpela. Dunbar served as Assistant County Manager under Korpela.
“Jenalee has done an exceptional job in the Human Resources Department, and I am confident she is ready to meet the additional challenge of serving as Assistant County Manager,” Dunbar said. “She’s the perfect candidate to fill this role.”
Nutter has served as Dunn County’s Human Resources Director since 2022, having joined the county in 2017. She graduated from UW-Stout in 2014.
“I’m really excited to branch out from my roots in HR (human resources),” Nutter said, where she has overseen employee relations, workforce development and strategic HR initiatives.
In her expanded role, she will assist the County Manager in implementing countywide priorities, coordinating interdepartmental efforts and advancing organizational goals.
Nutter said she has a particular interest in exploring ways to partner with other organizations to address the low availability of childcare in the region and will become more involved in the annual budget process.
“We’re in the process of shaping what my dual role looks like as we adjust to the new normal,” Nutter said.
