City Council Talks Bike Speed, Proposed Ordinance

Eau Claire city council members will be discussing a proposed bike ordinance at today’s public hearing.

The ordinance seeks to impose a speed limit of 15 miles per hour for e-bikes, scooters and skateboards riding on trails and sidewalks.  Council member Joshua Miller tells 13 News he’s received multiple complaints about electronic transportation devices going too fast on the sidewalk.  Residents can voice their opinion at today’s meeting. CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE WITH WEAU 13 NEWS.
