Multiple Injuries Reported in Eau Claire Co. Crash

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, at approximately 8:01 P.M. Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the intersection of State Road 27 and County Road N in the Town of Ludington for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. The initial information provided was that there were four people injured and at least one that was not breathing and not responsive.

Upon arrival to the scene, first responders provided medical care for the injured parties. Two individuals were transported via ambulance to area hospitals, and one was flown to the hospital via Mayo One with serious injuries.

The crash is currently under investigation, but alcohol, speed, and failing to stop for a stop sign appear to be factors in this incident. An operator of one of the vehicles was arrested for causing injury by operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Augusta Police Department, Fall Creek Police Department, Eau Claire Fire Department, Augusta Fire Department, Fall Creek Rescue, Fall Creek Fire Department, Mayo One, and Wisconsin State Patrol for their assistance during this investigation.
