Wisconsin officials are blaming two cats for starting an apartment fire.
The fire happened yesterday afternoon in the city of Madison, where residents on the East Side reported smelling smoke, which was traced back to an apartment containing two cats and a burning stove. A neighbor used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames, and four residents were displaced by the fire. Fire officials believe the cats accidentally turned on the stove.
