Governor Tony Evers has asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help Wisconsin assess flood damages.
Reports from the state’s EMA said Wisconsin met the federal threshold to receive federal aid. Evers says the damage is extensive, adding that it’s critical that Wisconsin gets the federal resources it needs to respond to its communities. Southeast Wisconsin was hit with heavy rains on August 9th, and floodwaters destroyed football fields, flooded businesses and totaled cars.
