STOP: WI DOT Warns of Scams

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is taking steps to protect its customers from scams. 

The agency announced Tuesday that it published a new page dedicated to informing Wisconsinites of what a DMV scam could look like.  Recently scammers have disguised themselves as the state’s Division of Motor Vehicles, pretending to notify consumers of outstanding tickets and unpaid balances.  The page also provides tips on what to do if you’ve been scammed.
