WI Food Program to Lost Funding

FoodWIse has lost their federal funding.

USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education used to fund the statewide program.  Lawmakers in DC voted to eliminate all SNAP-Ed funding with the Big Beautiful Bill.  The cut in funds will take effect on September 30th this year.  FoodWIse says they teach over 30 thousand residents about topics like food safety, healthy choices and physical activity.
