Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire Welcomes New Governing Member

Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire (the Cooperative) announced that an agreement has been signed with Priority Health for strategic alignment.  Upon completion of regulatory approvals, Priority Health will be the Cooperative’s governing member. This new relationship reflects the Cooperative’s continued focus on sustainability and high-quality member service.

Founded in the early 1970s, the Cooperative has consistently adapted its model to meet the evolving needs of its members and the communities it serves.  This important step lays the groundwork for continued growth, financial stability, and innovation in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. 

“Priority Health brings a track record of thoughtful leadership, financial stability, and a deep commitment to improving health outcomes—qualities that align well with the Cooperative’s values,” said Sarah North, CEO and general manager of the Cooperative. “This agreement positions us for long-term sustainability while allowing us to stay true to our purpose of improving health and offering accessible, community-based health plans focused in Wisconsin.
