WI Committees Can No Longer Pause, Object To Administrative Rules

The Wisconsin Legislature can no longer allow appointed committees to pause, object to, or suspend administrative rules.

Governor Tony Evers says the ruling means small groups of lawmakers can no longer interfere with state government doing its work. Evers sued the Wisconsin State Legislature for obstructing government operations. The State Supreme Court decision agrees, saying the committee actions are unconstitutional.
