WI Connection to Idaho Ambush

One of the firefighters who was shot to death in an ambush attack in Idaho this past weekend is originally from Wisconsin.

Kootenai County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Frank Harwood was born and raised in Neenah and graduated from Neenah High School in 2001.  Authorities in Idaho say he and Coeur d’Alene Fire Department Battalion Chief John Morrison were shot on Sunday by Wess Roley while they were responding to a brush fire that the gunman reportedly started himself.  Harwood was also an Army National Guard veteran and leaves behind a wife and two children.
