WI High Court Rules in Favor of UW Health

The Wisconsin Supreme Court says UW Health is not required to collectively bargain with its nurses.

Service International Employees Union, the nurses union representation, contested that collective bargaining with the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority was required, per the Wisconsin Employment Peace Act.  The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Wisconsin Employee Relations Commission who said it didn’t apply to the UWHCA.  The union said they remain committed to fighting for collective bargaining rights despite the ruling.
