The University of Wisconsin Madison is making budget cuts.
The university announced that schools and colleges will be required to cut their budgets by five percent for fiscal year 2026. The cuts come as universities around the country face uncertainty with federal funding. That includes possible changes to the federal indirect reimbursement rate and the risk of grant terminations or freezes.
