The WI State Patrol, New Richmond Police Department, and the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle crash on Business 64 in New Richmond.
A St. Croix County Highway Department truck pulling a utility trailer was west bound on Business 64 when it met gray Lexus traveling east bound. The Lexus crossed the center-line and struck the highway department truck head on. The driver of the Lexus, 52 year old Jason Knops from New Richmond, had to be extricated by the fire department and transported to Region’s in St. Paul. The driver of the county truck, 42 year old Bradley Smith of Amery, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the WI State Patrol.
