The skies over Eau Claire are about to get even louder. The Chippewa Valley Air Show announces a 2-ship flyover of the U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning II on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 115th Fighter Wing, adding even more power to an already stacked weekend airshow lineup.

The Madison-based 115th Fighter Wing will send two F-35 Lightning II aircraft soaring over the Chippewa Valley during the Saturday airshow.
“We are thrilled to bring the F-35’s to this year’s Saturday lineup,” said Adam Kremer, Air Operations Director of the Chippewa Valley Air Show. “This scheduled flyover is a rare opportunity for our community to experience the raw power and innovation of today’s Air Force up close.”
The F-35 Lightning II is one of the most advanced multi-role fighters in the world, combining stealth, speed, and cutting-edge technology. Marking the first F-35 appearance in the Chippewa Valley Air Show, the Saturday flyover joins a stacked airshow weekend lineup featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, F-16 Viper Demo Team, and other high-octane performers.
