La Crosse Public Works Tackles Rate Hike

La Crosse residents could soon be paying more for their storm water service.

The La Crosse Board of Public Works voted yesterday to increase storm water utility bills starting on July first.  The proposed fixed rate would increase with an average of about 53 dollars a year, which is a 120 percent increase.  The proposed rate hike will go before the Finance and Personnel Committee on June fifth and then to the Common Council on June 12th.
