The Wisconsin Supreme Court has declined to hear Steven Avery’s latest appeal.
The decision effectively ends another attempt to overturn his conviction in the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach. Avery gained national attention following the 2015 Netflix documentary “Making a Murderer.” The high court issued a one-line order Wednesday, denying the petition without comment.
