Three state Democratic lawmakers held a listening session over the weekend in Eau Claire.
Senator Jeff Smith, and Representatives Jodi Emerson and Christian Phelps on Saturday addressed the budget cuts that went into effect last week. The listening session involved Governor Evers’ Year of the Kid budget and how it impacts Chippewa Valley. Lawmakers told community members they have just one month to use funds that will go back into the general budget.
