One person is dead after a two-vehicle accident took place in Polk County.
It is reported that the accident took place Saturday night near the intersection of Highway 8 and Highway 65. A truck pulling a trailer ran through a stop sign and hit a car. The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was air-lifted to a local hospital with serious injuries. The crash still remains under investigation.
