First Falcon Chicks of 2025 Hatch

The first peregrine falcon chicks of 2025 have hatched at the We Energies power plant in Oak Creek. 

The two chicks were born earlier today to parents Essity and Joel.  It’s their first year nesting in Oak Creek together and Essity’s sixth year in the area.  Two more eggs could hatch at any moment in Oak Creek, with ten more eggs at other plants statewide expected to hatch in the coming weeks.  Live streams of the falcon nests can be found on the Wisconsin Public Service YouTube page, and a naming contest for the new chicks can be found on the WPS website WITH AN EASY CLICK HERE..
