Remains were recently identified and connected to a local case. Below is the update information from local authorities:
On Sunday, April 27th, 2025 the Chippewa Falls Police Department was notified by the St. Cloud Police Department (MN) of human remains that were located within the City of St. Cloud. The remains were processed and examined for identification.
On Monday, April, 28th, 2025 the Chippewa Falls Police Department received confirmation from the St. Cloud Police Department that the remains were of Chippewa Falls missing person Shannah Boiteau. Shannah was previously reported missing in the St. Cloud area on June 22nd, 2016. Upon confirmation, the family was immediately notified.
At this time, the St. Cloud Police Department is investigating the matter. All further inquires should be directed to the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-345-4444.
