Jason A Chodera, 44 years of age, from Eau Claire has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 6th offense.
On April 19th at approximately 5:11pm a Trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol, Eau Claire Post, stopped a vehicle on Hwy 85 east of Fuller Rd for a speed violation. The Trooper detected the odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle. A subsequent investigation, including standard field sobriety tests, was conducted and it was discovered that Mr. Chodera had a pending 6th offense OWI and was subject to a .02 blood alcohol concentration restriction.
Mr. Chodera was arrested for OWI 6th offense and transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood and then to the Eau Claire County jail. Chodera was also charged with operating after revocation, failure to install an ignition interlock device, speeding, and felony bail jumping.
