The Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds is thrilled to announce the inaugural BBQ Fest, set to take place on September 6th, 2025 at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.. This exciting new event promises to be a vibrant celebration of local culinary talent and entertainment offering something for everyone in the community.
The BBQ Fest will feature:
• Mouth-Watering Barbecue: Enjoy a variety of barbecue styles from top local chefs, amazing regional food trucks and backyard pitmasters. From smoky ribs to savory pulled pork to irreplaceable sides and desserts there will be something to satisfy every palate.
• Backyard Barbecue Competition: Check out the future restauranteurs and neighborhood legends as they try their hand at smoking the best pork, ribs and chicken recipes. The winner takes home a cash prize, the title and bragging rights!
• Artisan Market Discover unique handmade crafts, artwork, and goods from talented local artists and artisans. This is the perfect opportunity to find one-of-a-kind pieces and support the local creative community.
• Barn Dance and Beer Tent: Dance and sing to live music throughout the day. The festival will also include family-friendly entertainment and activities.
• Corn Hole Tournament: Take home the trophy for the greatest Midwest backyard sport created by entering your team in our bags bracket.
• Free Admission: Through the generous sponsors and partners we have in our region, we are going to keep the admission to this event free and have a great community event to raise money for another great reason to visit Chippewa Falls and the Chippewa Valley.
