There’s a new officer in the pack. Below is the information from Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald regarding K9 Creed:

K9 Creed is a male Belgian Malinois / Shepherd mix born in Poland in 2023. K9 Creed and his handler, Deputy Raymond (Bo) Nelson, are currently in the Saint Paul K9 Academy. The academy is run by the Saint Paul Police Department. Deputy Nelson received K9 Creed in December 2024 and started training at the academy in February 2025. K9 Creed and Deputy Nelson will be in school until May 22nd. On March 13th, K9 Creed and Deputy Nelson certified in Narcotics Detection. K9 Creed passed his certification test and is “Top Dog” in his class for Narcotics Detection. K9 Creed will also be trained in criminal search & apprehension, tracking and evidence detection. Deputy Nelson has been in law enforcement since 2020 and has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2023.
This will be Barron County’s second K-9, with Deputy Hulback and Jasper serving as the other handler and K-9. K-9’s are an important tool in our department. We know people love to give to the K-9 Program so we have set up a K-9 donation line to make sure we continue to meet the needs of our program. Donations can be sent to the Barron County Sheriff’s Department, 1420 State Hwy 25 North, Barron, WI 54812 Attn: K-9 Donation.
Welcome Creed to our team!
