New Chancellor on UWEC Campus, Schmidt Heads to James Madison University

The University Of Wisconsin Eau Claire has named a new interim chancellor.

With current chancellor Jim Schmidt leaving to take a job in Virginia, Michael Carney will step into the new role. Currently, Carney is the University’s interim provost and vice chancellor of academic affairs. Carney has been with the University since 2000. He will start his new job on July 1st.
