WI Children’s Hospital Expands

A Madison children’s hospital is expanding.

American Family Children’s Hospital says it’s adding almost 50 rooms to its sixth floor, which was left empty when the hospital opened in 2007 to leave room for future growth. The hospital says it had to turn away more than a hundred children in 2023 since it didn’t have enough available beds. Construction is scheduled to start next year, and the new units will open in late 2027.
