Speeding Leads to OWI

Iaiah Amos, 30 years of age, from Milwaukee has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with five children in the vehicle under the age of 16. 

A Trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-94 eastbound at mile post 102. While speaking with the driver, Isaiah Amos, the Trooper observed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Mr. Amos was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. He was subsequently arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence 1st offense while having five passengers under 16 years old in the vehicle. 

The minor passengers, ages 13, nine, seven and two remained with family members that were also in the vehicle. Mr. Amos was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary chemical test of his blood and then released to a responsible adult. He was also charged with possession of THC and speeding.
