Keep the layers handy, we will need them heading out into that Wisconsin winter weather. As our local meterologists say, a large high pressure system covers much of Western Canada this morning, extending southward into the United States. We’re not alone. Around the Dairyland, the milk is getting slushy.

The city of Madison has declared a snow emergency as crews work to get streets clear.  The emergency requires people tonight to park on the side of the street with even house numbers until Tuesday morning.  If someone violates that, they will get a 60-dollar ticket and a 115-dollar towing fee if their vehicle needs to be towed.
