Arrest Made in Hammond Altercation

On the morning of February 13, 2025, the Village of Hammond Police Department, in collaboration with the St. Paul Police Department, conducted a coordinated operation to locate and apprehend Antonio Thelen of St. Paul, Minnesota. Thelen was wanted in connection with a violent incident that occurred in the early hours of January 30, 2024.

On that date, Thelen was involved in an altercation with patrons at Ras’s on Main, a local establishment in the Village of Hammond. After leaving the premises, he returned shortly thereafter, armed with a firearm, and discharged multiple rounds through the front window of the establishment. One patron sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and Thelen subsequently fled the scene. He has remained at large since, with active felony arrest warrants issued for his apprehension.

On the morning of February 13, 2025, Thelen was successfully located and taken into custody by the St. Paul Police Department on the outstanding felony warrants. The arrest was carried out without incident. Thelen remains in the Ramsey County Jail awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin.
