Eagles Soar to Victory in Super Bowl 59

The Eagles did it. They went on win their second-ever Lombardi trophy.

The team destroyed the Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl 59 from New Orleans. Jalen Hurts threw for 221 yards and scored three total touchdowns to go with one interception. Rookie corner Cooper DeJean picked off Patrick Mahomes and returned it for a touchdown for his first-career interception while the defense combined for six sacks without blitzing once.

Mahomes passed for 257 yards, three touchdowns and committed three turnovers. Xavier Worthy caught eight balls for 157 yards and two scores as Kansas City’s quest to become the league’s first-ever three-peat champion in the Super Bowl era came to a crashing halt.
