Wisconsin license plates are moving from A to B.
After almost eight years and four-point-seven-million letter and number combinations, the DOT’s Division of Motor Vehicles is out of combinations and will soon debut license plates starting with the letter B. The A plates went into circulation in 2017, when the state switched from six character plates to seven character plates.
